BLOG

After years of coaching, one conversation kept coming up again and again.

“I’m just so tired.”

Not because people weren’t trying, because they were juggling everything; work, family, training, life and for many women, all of this alongside perimenopause or menopause.

Alongside these conversations, something else was happening. One of our own LRC community members, Robyn, runs her own organic business, Bage & Bloom and shares exactly the same passion for optimising health naturally. When we started talking, it quickly became clear we were asking the same questions.

So together, Robyn and I started to formulate our own hydration blend. Something we hope in time can support everyone and anyone who simply wants to feel better day to day.

We looked at what was already out there. Most hydration products are designed for elite sport, loaded with sugar or full of ingredients we wouldn’t choose ourselves. So we decided to create something different.

Not just a hydration sachet. A daily drink that combines electrolytes with organic adaptogens to support energy, reduce fatigue and support cognitive function.

What makes this different

Most hydration drinks simply replace what you lose in sweat. This one does that but we’ve gone further.

Alongside the core electrolytes, we’ve included four organic adaptogenic powders rooted in traditional Chinese and Ayurvedic medicine: Tulsi, Schisandra, Shatavari and Moringa. These plants have been used for centuries to help the body manage stress, reduce fatigue and build resilience. We’ve chosen them carefully because they work well together, each one complementing the next.

The full blend includes:

Taurine — supports hydration, muscle function and recovery

Magnesium — contributes to energy production, electrolyte balance and reduction of tiredness

Creatine — supports strength, recovery and cognitive health, with emerging evidence particularly relevant for women during hormonal transition

Potassium — replaces key electrolytes lost through sweat

Ginger — supports digestion and provides natural antioxidant support

Tulsi (Holy Basil) — an organic adaptogen used in Ayurvedic medicine to help the body manage everyday stress

Schisandra — an organic adaptogenic berry from traditional Chinese medicine that may support resilience, mental clarity and recovery

Shatavari — an organic Ayurvedic adaptogen traditionally associated with supporting women’s wellbeing during hormonal transition

Moringa — an organic adaptogen naturally rich in vitamins, minerals and antioxidants that support general wellbeing

No caffeine. No artificial colours. No sugar overload. Every ingredient has a purpose.

This is our first trial batch

We want to be open about where we are. This is our first formulation and we are genuinely here to learn. We may refine the blend, adjust the balance of ingredients or evolve the recipe based on what our testers tell us. That’s exactly why your feedback matters so much.

We’d love your help

Before we think about launching, we want honest feedback from people in our community. If any of these sound like you, we’d love you to apply:

— You’re feeling more tired than you’d like

— You’re navigating perimenopause or menopause

— Recovery is taking longer than it used to

— You want to improve your hydration

— You’re active in any way; running, walking, strength training or simply moving more

— You’re looking for a natural alternative to traditional sports drinks

We need upto 30 testers. We’ll send you enough product to try over a short testing period and ask for your honest thoughts – on taste, mixability, how it fits into your day and whether you noticed any difference in how you felt.

We’re not looking for positive reviews. We’re looking for honest ones.

A note from us

While every ingredient has individual evidence behind it, we can’t promise specific outcomes and everyone’s experience will be different. This is not intended to replace medical advice or a balanced diet. If you’re pregnant, breastfeeding, taking medication or have a health condition, please speak to your GP before taking part.

Why this matters to us

Long Run Collective has never just been about running. It’s about helping people feel healthy for the long run — strong enough to keep doing the things they love.

As a former professional triathlete, two-time amateur World Champion, cancer survivor and coach, I’ve learned that performance means very little if you don’t feel well enough to enjoy life.

If you’d like to be one of our first testers, we’d love to hear from you.
