Looking for a nutritious snack to energise your body?
These quick and easy biscuits are ideal. They’re perfect to grab on the go during a long run or bike ride, or as a daytime snack to keep hunger at bay at work. They also make a healthier alternative for your snack-loving kids — our little boy is biscuit-obsessed and gives these a big thumbs-up!
I created this recipe myself, so you might need to tweak the baking time slightly depending on your oven. But they’re super forgiving, and totally worth a try.

Chocolate Banana Protein Biscuits
Ingredients:
-
2 ripe bananas
-
1 cup organic oats
-
200ml whole milk
-
1 egg
-
20g dark chocolate
-
2 tbsp peanut butter
-
2 scoops protein powder (I use a vegan chocolate protein)
Method:
-
Preheat your oven to 200°C (fan).
-
Add the oats to a large mixing bowl.
-
Mash the bananas and mix them into the oats.
-
Add the milk, egg, and peanut butter, and stir until combined.
-
Stir in the protein powder.
-
Chop the dark chocolate into chunks (as big or small as you like) and mix through the batter.
-
Using two spoons, scoop the mixture onto a lined baking tray to form small biscuits. (I made 20 — all different shapes and sizes!)
-
Bake for around 10 minutes, or until lightly golden and set.
Great warm or cold, and they freeze well too. Enjoy!
